Gambar
Welcome to a shorter than usual Steam Deck Weekly for the week. If you’ve not kept up with the recent happenings on the site in the world of Steam Deck, read my 5/5 Steam Deck review of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8 in progress review covering the Steam Deck version. This week sees some notable new releases, release date announcements, trailers, and also a decent amount of Verified games. For some reason, this month and the first week of February are both very crowded specifically for games I was looking forward to playing in 2024. Let’s get into the news first. News The highlights of this week are both Tekken 8 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth having launched together today. It is funny looking back at the announcements of both games because I feel like both were revealed in the same month properly, and they are out on the same day. I love both games and already put over a 100 hours into Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and still have at least 50 hours worth of st...

Gambar
Originally announced back in the middle of 2021 , Arknights developer Hypergryph’s premium RPG Ex Astris () has finally gotten a global release date. Ex Astris was interesting because of its monetization. Until I saw the App Store page earlier today with the price, I didn’t believe this would actually release, but it looks great and is out in just a month. The premium 3D semi real-time and turn-based action RPG set on a tidally locked planet has you playing as someone from earth investigating the planet while befriending travelers and more. Watch the Ex Astris gameplay and release date trailer below: Ex Astris launches on February 27th as a premium game priced at $9.99. The official Twitter account has confirmed that the game will feature cross platform saves with the in-game account, but you will need to buy the game on both platforms obviously. Apple Now Allowing Game Streaming Apps Like Xbox Cloud Gaming in the App Store, will Allow 3rd Party App Stores in the EU to Comply with Law

Gambar
Today Apple announced some massive changes coming to the iOS operating system, with the most significant stuff applying only to those in the EU in order to comply with regulations there, but also some interesting things coming to iOS users worldwide. Most significant to our interests here at TouchArcade, being that we’re based in the US and focused on mobile gaming, is that Apple has finally decided to allow game streaming apps into the App Store across the globe. You may recall that back in 2018 Microsoft announced their intentions to bring a portion of the Game Pass catalog to users basically anywhere via a new cloud streaming service, called Project xCloud at the time. Later it was revealed that Apple would not allow Microsoft to release a standalone app with access to a library of streaming games like that, as it violated App Store guidelines. So instead Android users got to benefit from the Project xCloud service for a long time first, until around the spring of 2021 when Micro...

‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition’ Is Netflix’s Most Successful Games Launch, People Are Singing Up To Play It

Gambar
Rockstar Games finally brought the remake/remaster of its classic trilogy to iOS and Android through Netflix Games and as standalone releases for $19.99 each. We featured Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition as our game(s) of the week when they arrived and I’ve reviewed Vice City from this trilogy on iOS which you can read here. Netflix has publicly revealed (Via The GameDiscoverCo newsletter ) in its fourth quarterly earnings letter to shareholders that this release was Netflix’s most successful launch till date for installs and engagement in gaming. The more important bit is that some people are signing up just to play these games on Netflix. As I said in my review , I thought Netflix finally had its killer app for the gaming side on mobile, and that seems to be true. I’m curious to see how these games do on mobile long term. I still have reviews planned for San Andreas and III. If you’d like to play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition a...

Out Now: ‘Atelier Resleriana’, ‘Ugly’, ‘Yuppie Psycho’, ‘Abyssrium Match’, ‘Ponpu’, ‘Methods: Detective Competition’, ‘Re.Call’, ‘Boori’s Spooky Tales’ and More

Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes constantly, so the need for everyone to release all on the same day has diminished. Still, we’ve kept our weekly Wednesday night format as for years that’s the time people knew to check TouchArcade for the list of new games. And so without further ado please check out the full list of this week’s new games below, and let us know in the comments section which games you’ll be picking up!   Abyssrium Match (Free) iTunes Description 60M downloads AbyssRium is back!
