Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes constantly, so the need for everyone to release all on the same day has diminished. Still, we’ve kept our weekly Wednesday night format as for years that’s the time people knew to check TouchArcade for the list of new games. And so without further ado please check out the full list of this week’s new games below, and let us know in the comments section which games you’ll be picking up!   Blackmoor 2 iTunes Description Years ago, a scruffy knight embarked on a quest to destroy a cursed artifact

‘Diablo III: Eternal Collection’ First Impressions – Excellent Port of a Game That Is Perfect for Switch

Gambar
When Diablo III made the jump to PS3 and 360, most people were skeptical about the visuals and the controls. Thankfully, Blizzard nailed the controls with various tweaks to make the game that was built for keyboard and mouse work great on a gamepad. The game eventually became quite the couch co-op phenomenon on consoles and even saw great ports to PS4 and Xbox One. Blizzard finally brings Diablo to Switch in the Eternal Collection that has been ported by Iron Galaxy who also ported Skyrim. Read Eli’s impressions of Skyrim on Switch here . Diablo III: Eternal Collection includes the base game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, the Rise of the Necromancer DLC, and exclusive Switch cosmetics and amiibo support. It also has the advantage of including all the fixes and additions the game saw for years on other platforms and is the most polished the release yet. When it comes to exclusive content, you get Ganondorf armor, a pet, some wings, and amiibo support in addition to what the Switch h

‘Stardew Valley’ Update Fixes an iPhone XR Resolution Issue, Improves Fishing, and More

Gambar
Stardew Valley ($7.99) is one of the best games out there on any platform. I was pretty surprised and excited to see it come to iOS and the port is pretty great. We’ve covered it a ton already and you can read Eli’s impressions and his full review for it. It has been updated quite a few times since release to fix various issues and to allow for some modern conveniences like background music or podcasts support. Today’s update fixes some gameplay bugs and improves certain aspects of the game. Watch some gameplay from the iOS port below: You can now tap and hold to move and cast the fishing rod. This improves fishing considerably for me. Without going into spoilers, the pantry junimo note button has been fixed and the Spring onion event has been positioned correctly. Even though a lot of what’s mentioned and discussed for Stardew Valley online will not feel like a spoiler, I’d rather people go into the game completely cold and getting surprised by how great it is and how many su

Best New iPhone Games on Our Forums: Trigger Heroes, Legend: Rising Empire, Knights & Dungeons, Old School RuneScape and Tons More

It’s another Wednesday of iOS game releases and today’s made up holiday is … WAIT A MINUTE IT’S HALLOWEEN! We’re in for a SPOOKY day of game releases filled with tricks, treats, and the skeleton dance. What’s the skeleton dance? Well, a million years ago when Carter was still writing for us he asked if he could include this dumb video in a news story he was writing, I said sure, and so he included it as the footer of everything he published on the site for the entire month of October. So, let’s pour one out for both Carter and the spooky skeleton dance. Anyway, while you’re being bombarded with trick or treaters tonight, why not check out some of these new games? Here’s everything that has been posted to our forums so far: BlockOn: Puzzle Defence (by BEESIDE) Buried Treasure! (by four and a half games) Car Pizza Delivery Simulator (by Imran Sohail) Farkle King (by Gamezoka) Flirt Balls – Hello To Love! (by Black Chilli Games) Fox Hime Zero (by AsicxArt / SakuraGame) Granc

Phenomenal Card-Based Dungeon Crawler ‘Card Crawl’ Free for Today Only

Gambar
It’s hard to believe that it’s been three and a half years since the release of Card Crawl, the game that put developer TinyTouchTales aka Arnold Rauers on the map. The breaking down of the mechanics of a dungeon crawling game and then building them into a solitaire-style card game was nothing short of genius, and perhaps it doesn’t feel like Card Crawl released all that long ago because it’s been a mainstay on my device ever since, receiving frequent visits whenever I have a moment of free time to kill. Well in celebration of Halloween today, and for today only, Card Crawl is currently free for the first time ever. Sure it’s been as cheap as a dollar before, but this is FREE. That’s even LESS than a dollar! If you for some reason need even more convincing to go download a free game, then definitely check out our original review of Card Crawl from when it released, though know it has received quite a bit of new content by way of updates since then. For an even more comprehensive as

‘Pocket City’ Updated With Larger Map Options, iPhone XS Improvements, a New Structure, and More

Gambar
Pocket City ($4.99) is a game we’ve covered multiple times and one that I’ve been super excited to play. When it finally released, I got addicted to it. It has satisfied my Cities: Skylines itch on iOS for a while now. It has been getting fixes and updates on a regular basis since launch optimising the game for newer and older devices in addition to new content. Today’s update is a big one with new content, UI improvements, more sandbox options, and a whole lot more. The biggest addition is the option for larger cities. The relaxing sandbox mode now has an option to play with everything unlocked but not unlimited cash. I’ve been wanting this since launch. The Zoo is a new structure that has its own quest. Higher level buildings now cost more. As with all updates, bug fixes and performance improvements are also implemented and while most games usually just mention these for filling up patch notes, Pocket City has been getting consistently better. The update is available for fr

The Garbage Pail Kids are Getting a Mobile Game

Gambar
On its surface, this story isn’t that interesting as if I had a dollar for every time we heard that some obscure IP you probably don’t remember is getting a mobile tie-in we wouldn’t need Patreon. However, the Garbage Pail Kids is one hell of an IP, and defined a large part of the childhood of boys who grew up in the 80’s. If you don’t fit that slim demographic, here’s the gist: For whatever reason, Cabbage Patch Kids were unbelievably popular , and at least in my life, were one of the original chase toys that people go wild trying to find during the holidays- Like an earlier version of Tickle Me Elmo. Garbage Pail Kids, on the other hand, directly ribbed Cabbage Patch dolls with terrible puns and humor that perfectly fit in line with what you’d find to be absolutely hilarious as a young boy. Basically, if you’ve ever read a copy of Mad Magazine, it’s that humor, plus trading cards, plus making fun of Cabbage Patch dolls. Amusingly enough, at my school, just around the time intere

Watch the First Full Trailer for ‘Skylanders Ring of Heroes’

Gambar
Skylanders Ring of Heroes is a turn based RPG from Com2uS based on the Skylanders franchise from Activision. The Skylanders franchise has gone through a rocky last few years with recent releases not doing too well and “toys to life" games in general aren’t really popular these days. Ubisoft’s Starlink already feels forgotten outside the people who bought it for the Starfox tie in missions and toys. Nintendo’s amiibo line seems to be the last one left and they will likely do better with Smash releasing in December. Skylanders Ring of Heroes is being developed by Com2uS who brought out Summoners War and you can watch the first full trailer for it below: Skylanders Ring of Heroes is a turn based RPG with many characters from the Skylanders franchise facing off against various enemies from the universe. Spyro, Master Eon, Eruptor, Kaos, and more will be a part of the full game. Pre-registrations have been live for little over 2 weeks now. If you’re interested, you can p

‘Dragalia Lost’ Kindness and Captivity Raid Event Open Now in Addition to the Desert Jewel and the Abyssal Flame Summon Showcase

Gambar
Nintendo’s Dragalia Lost (Free) just got a pretty substantial update recently. The update was preparing for the new Raid Event and the Summon Showcase that are both available now. Before getting into those details, the team has made some adjustment to various skills to make the Raid Event go smoother because some skills weren’t landing on the raid boss. To compensate for this, they offer eligible players 300 Wyrmite which is delivered through the goodies box. The Kindness and Captivity Raid Event lets up to four players with four adventurers each take part to take on the wind raid boss for rewards. You can also add Melsa (event character) to your group if you increase your friendship with her. Blazons and emblems collected during the event to get Sylvia the dragon and the Better Together wyrmprint. The Raid Event will go on until November 12th and 1:59 AM while rewards for it will be available until November 19th at 1:59 AM. As always, you need to have cleared Chapter 2 / 2-1 on

Let your Pat Sajak fan club president Phil guide you on this journey through all of the Switch coverage you need for the day. Not only is there a new Nintendo Direct arriving on Thursday morning to talk about, but I also have some impressions on a newly released game today. Game of the Day Resident Evil Revelations ($13.99 from $19.99 until November 5) Our week of spook-tacular Game of the Day entries continues with Resident Evil Revelations , a game that originally debuted on the Nintendo 3DS, wowing players with its MT Framework engine-producing visuals. Now, after several HD ports of the game–even one to the Wii U– Resident Evil Revelations now haunts the Nintendo Switch with an immense lineup of monsters, mutants, and grotesque creatures. Residen

‘Command & Conquer: Rivals’ is Launching Worldwide December 4th

Gambar
Following its announcement and early version launch on Google Play this past June, today EA Mobile has announced that their upcoming competitive real-time strategy game Command & Conquer: Rivals will be launching worldwide on December 4th. Obviously trying to take on the massively popular PvP strategy genre that has exploded in the mobile free to play space, as well as the eSports boom that has been growing over the past few years, Command & Conquer: Rivals is “competitive to its very core" according to a quote from their accompanying press release. EA plans on the game becoming “the next official EA competitive gaming franchise to roll out a complete competitive program, including community tournaments and a championship pro scene." They are NOT playing around, ya’ll. They also tout the game’s feature of being able to control all of your units at all times during play, rather than the “drop-and-watch" mechanics of other games, which is an obvious dig at genre

Adorable Puzzle Platformer ‘Micro Vendor Adventures’ Launches Next Week, Pre-Order Live Now

Gambar
Back in August we checked out the trailer for an upcoming game called Micro Vendor Adventures which had one of my favorite premises ever. Basically it told the story of when you order a soda from a machine and how that soda actually gets to you. It’s actually a MUCH more complicated affair than you might have thought. When you order a drink, a little robot called a Micro Vendor must retrieve your drink of choice and hoist it above its head before carrying it through a gauntlet of hazards and challenges before delivering the frosty beverage to you. Gameplay-wise this happens by you manipulating parts of the environment to create a safe path for the little Vendor to travel through. You can see how it all plays out in this new trailer for Micro Vendor Adventures . It’s such a cute idea, and I love thinking that there’s a little robot inside of vending machines working its butt off to deliver your treats to you. When we posted about Micro Vendor Adventures in August, the developers w

Limited Time Halloween Event Live in ‘Siralim 3’ with Exclusive Content

Gambar
It hasn’t even been released for two weeks yet, but already the massive monster-collecting RPG Siralim 3 ($4.99) is getting a very cool limited time event in celebration of Halloween tomorrow. The event has just gone live today and will run until November 13th. Between that time you can search the realms for Frankenfluff in order to obtain 5 exclusive Halloween themed characters, and if you obtain them all you can continue seeking out Frankenfluff to receive additional cool items. You can also visit your gods’ altars to “trick or treat" to get some additional treasures, and you can visit Blanch and use the code “HALLOWEEN" to get yourself a Singular Pumpkin egg. Perhaps most important of all due to its timeliness is if you play Siralim 3 tomorrow on actual Halloween you’ll unlock a cool Halloween costume and title. If you aren’t familiar with Siralim 3 , it’s (obviously) the third entry in Thylacine Studio’s epic monster-collecting RPG series. The original debuted severa

‘Old School RuneScape’ Review – This is The Real Deal

Gambar
Very similar to our Stardew Valley review , reviewing Old School RuneScape (Free) feels like more of a formality than anything else as Jagex has spent the last 17 or so years refining the game into what many fans of super hardcore “classic" MMORPGs like this would define as the perfect example of the genre. Old School RuneScape , or OSRS for short, is one hell of a rabbit hole to fall into. You can get a small glimpse of that in our RuneFest 2018 coverage , but the long and short of it is this: RuneScape is a one billion dollar game that has a global fanbase, holds several world records, and has so much content that you could play the game for quite literally years. RuneScape was originally released all the way back in 2001, when the gaming world was still figuring out what an MMORPG actually was. At the time the main competition of RuneScape would’ve been Ultima Online and EverQuest , but RuneScape had a major edge in that it was a browser game- Meaning kids could tota

Apple Announces New iPad Pro

Gambar
During Apple’s event this morning they announced a new iPad Pro, which looked exactly like all the leakers predicted. The bezel shrank once more to be nearly non-existent, and as expected, they’ve dropped the home button and TouchID for a full-screen design and FaceID. It’s still LCD, but the edge to edge screen even has rounded corners like the new iPhones. Interestingly enough, the new bezel means the screens get slightly larger screen in the same footprint, going from 10.5" to 11" on the “normal" iPad, while the 12.9" model shrinks a bit to be about the same size as an 8.5×11" piece of paper. All that, as only 5.9mm thin vs the 6.9mm thickness of older models- Accounting for 25% less volume. The new iPad Pro uses the A12X bionic processors, which Apple calls a “monster." It’s built on 7nm fabrication processes, like the A12 in the new iPhones. The “X" chip is more powerful, with an 8-cure CPU and 7-core GPU which is 2x as faster than before which
