Read about all the winners here . Watch the Honkai Star Rail version 1.5 phase 2 trailer for Argenti below: I ended up deleting Honkai Star Rail on PS5 because I ran out of space on the SSD, but I play it more on iPhone 15 Pro now. I’m not sure I’ll bother with ne

SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Arcadian Atlas’, ‘Trip World DX’, Plus Today’s Other Releases and Sales

Gambar
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for November 30th, 2023. It’s Thursday, and unlike last Thursday this is a regular-sized big-pants release day. If you like video games, and I have to believe you do, you’ll want to check through the summaries of the many new games hitting the eShop today. After that, we do our usual lists of the latest sales and outgoing discounts. There’s a lot, so let’s get into it! New Releases Arcadian Atlas ($19.99) This is a turn-based tactical RPG that is paying some clear homage to the likes of Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics . That’s not exactly a rare thing in this genre, of course. Somehow this was made by a tiny team of individuals, and it’s certainly respectable in light of that. I’ll be doing a full review of this one soon, but what I will say for now is that the game’s somewhat mixed reception on other platforms is not unearned. Well, maybe it will pull up in the end. Trip World DX ($19.99) Oh, is this finally

‘Sonic Dream Team’ Interview – Studio Creative Director Dan Rossati on the Game’s Vision, Cream and Rouge Being Playable, Platform Choices, Working With Apple, and More

Gambar
The Sonic Dream Team Apple Arcade announcement was very exciting for a few reasons. I’m always excited to play a new Sonic game, but I was curious about this new 3D entry because I loved Sonic Frontiers and have played that on every platform now. Sonic Dream Team has been developed by SEGA HARDLight who have done some amazing PC and console ports over the years, and I figured now was a great time to chat with the team about Sonic Dream Team , playable characters, platform choices, and the game’s vision. I had a chance to talk to Dan Rossati (Studio Creative Director) at SEGA HARDLight about those topics and more. TouchArcade (TA): Tell us a little bit about yourself and SEGA HARDlight. Dan Rossati (DR): I feel it’s best to start with the studio – HARDlight has been working with the Sonic IP for well over a decade, and in that time, we’ve gained a lot of experience with the brand. For instance, Sonic Dash is ten years old and still going strong today, and along with its sister

‘Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal’ iOS Review – Superb and One of Feral Interactive’s Best

Gambar
Many years ago, I remember seeing a few copies of the Hitman Absolution collector’s edition in stores. Those didn’t end up selling out and were discounted heavily. I was not familiar with the series at that point, I just remember hearing a lot of folks lament the changes that game made to the formula. I didn’t bother playing it. When Hitman (the first game in the new trilogy) hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2016, I ended up playing and adoring it. I was a fan, and couldn’t wait to play more from IO Interactive. Fast forward to today, the World of Assassination trilogy is superb, and I’ve bought those games multiple times across all platforms. I even ended up getting the HD collection on Xbox that included Hitman: Blood Money , but not playing it really. When Feral Interactive announced Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal () , I knew this would be the way I experience this beloved IO Interactive classic. I also didn’t want to play prior versions to see how I feel about the game through Hit

‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition’ for iOS and Android Releasing on December 14th Through Netflix Games

Gambar
After multiple delays and the games being MIA for mobile, Rockstar Games’ remake/remaster of the classic trilogy is coming to iOS and Android in less than two weeks. The surprising news is that all three games are Netflix exclusives. This is the biggest get yet for Netflix. If you’ve not kept up with the trilogy, it was released in a rough state, but has since been improved a lot on Xbox Series X at least. Not much improvement on the Switch side, but the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be interesting to play on mobile. This release brings GTA: Vice City – NETFLIX , San Andreas , and GTA III in their new remake form to mobile. Read my review of the trilogy on Switch here . I’ll definitely be covering these new ports. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition launched on November 11th, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Rockstar Games Launcher). The iOS and Android versions were originally scheduled for t

1996-Released Classic Run and Gun Game ‘Metal Slug’ ACA NeoGeo From SNK and Hamster Is Out Now on iOS and Android

Gambar
Last week, the excellent Samurai Shodown II hit iOS and Android as a part of Hamster’s ACA NeoGeo lineup. Shaun reviewed it here . This week, SNK and Hamster have launched another classic with the original Metal Slug has released on iOS and Android as the newest ACA NeoGeo series release. Metal Slug released in 1996 originally, and it has you controlling Marco and Tarma trying to defeat Donald Morden. While not my favorite entry in the series, it is a good one to see ported over in its ACA NeoGeo form. Watch the Metal Slug ACA NeoGeo trailer for its console release from Hamster below: You can buy Metal Slug ACA NeoGeo on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here . As with prior releases on mobile, this costs half of what it does on consoles at $3.99. If you aren’t sure if this one is for you, I’d recommend going with one of the games Shaun recommended in his best games list. If you’ve not played an SNK re-release from Hamster you can read Shaun’s article h

Gambar
Open world survival and crafting adventure game Dysmantle ($9.99) was one of our favorite games of 2022, and has gotten quite a bit of support with free and paid content since launching.
