This DLC will be included in the mobile version from the start. Following the original Dicey Dungeons announcement , it launched on multiple platforms including Switch, Steam , and even Xbox. Shaun loved it on Switch. Read his review of it here . Dicey Dungeons is another game that felt like it would be perfect on mobile, and having owned it and played a bit across Switch and Steam, I definitely am excited to see hit come to iPad next week. Watch the trailer for the Switch version below: While Dicey Dungeons hitting mobile is a huge deal for us, the other platforms will get the new content as free DLC in the form the Reunion DLC that includes

Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes constantly, so the need for everyone to release all on the same day has diminished. Still, we’ve kept our weekly Wednesday night format as for years that’s the time people knew to check TouchArcade for the list of new games. And so without further ado please check out the full list of this week’s new games below, and let us know in the comments section which games you’ll be picking up!   Badass Remake (Free) iTunes Description Two-Minute Hero! Upcoming Mobile MMO RPG Shooter ‘Avatar: Reckoning’ Gets a New Trailer, Launching in 2023

Gambar
This past January a contingent of developers made up of Archosaur Games, Tencent, Lightstorm Entertainment, and Disney announced a new mobile game set in James Cameron’s Avatar universe titled Avatar: Reckoning . With Avatar: The Way of Water, the long, LONG, more-than-a-decade-in-the-making sequel to the original 2009 Avatar film seemingly set to arrive in theaters sometime this year, as well as 3 more sequels planned by the end of the 2020s, it’s no surprise that there would be some sort of mobile game tie-in to stir up some hype with the fanbase. That this was described as an “MMO RPG Shooter" though made it feel like maybe there were bigger plans for Avatar: Reckoning than your average licensed idle game or hero collector. Well this week the first trailer for Avatar: Reckoning has been released, and while it doesn’t show off a ton, it definitely looks impressive so far. This is billed as a teaser trailer, and while plenty of it is obviously pre-rendered cutscenes, it loo

Subway Surfers Tag, Heroes Fate, Kingdom Rush Vengeance+, Samorost 3+, and More Hit Apple Arcade in July

Apple just revealed July’s upcoming Apple Arcade releases in a new App Store Story. Subway Surfers Tag and Heroes Fate are the new games on the service while Samorost 3+ , Kingdom Rush Vengeance+ , and My Bowling 3D+ join as + versions of older games. There will also be updates each week as usual. Subway Surfers Tag is the first spin-off game in the series that has you using a jetpack, spinning, grinding combos, and more. Subway Surfers Tag hits the service on July 15th. Check it out here on Apple Arcade. ’20 Minutes Till Dawn’ is the Latest ‘Vampire Survivors’-Alike Heading to Mobile Later this Year

Gambar
Whether you’re into the PC gaming scene or not, chances are that you’ve at least heard the name Vampire Survivors at some point in the last 6 months. Released into Early Access on Steam this past December, Vampire Survivors is a survival game that plays a lot like a top-down shooter, except in this case the shooting happens automatically and your only real task is to avoid the swarms and swarms of enemies heading your way. In that sense it’s probably more like a bullet hell shooter, but with an engrossing progression system that has you hitting the retry button the moment your current run inevitably comes to an end. Anyway, while initially launched with little fanfare, for whatever reason Vampire Survivors began to catch interest throughout January and eventually went viral making it one of the most played games on Steam. It still maintains a huge daily active userbase and, as with anything that becomes that level of popular, there are plenty of developers putting their own spin o

SwitchArcade Round-Up: Reviews Featuring ‘Bassmaster 2022’ and ‘Firegirl’, Plus the Latest Releases and Sales

Gambar
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for June 28th, 2022. In today’s article, we have to dance around the main topic because the time lag between when I write this and when you read it is just long enough to miss that Nintendo Direct. But I do have a couple of reviews for you to look over, plus summaries of all of the new releases (that I know about) and the latest sales. Let’s get going, and don’t worry about the stuff we’ll go over tomorrow! News How About that Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, Eh? Yes, it’s the usual thing. By the time you read this, the June 2022 Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase will have already aired. As I am writing this, it is still several hours in the future. So I don’t really know what I can write here except that I’m sure there were probably at least one or two neat surprises in those twenty-five minutes focused on third-party games. We’ll catch up on the big stuff tomorrow. Reviews & Mini-Views Bassmaster Fish

‘Hero Emblems II’ Review – There’s No Catch to this Match

Gambar
Seven and a half years ago, the original Hero Emblems ($2.99) was released on the App Store. Just under six years ago, its sequel was formally announced and a trailer was shown. A couple of weeks after that , I played Hero Emblems II ($6.99) for the first time while attending the 2016 Tokyo Game Show. At that time, the folks at Heat Pot Games told me that the game was still a ways off from release, with a late 2017 date at the absolute earliest. Well, they didn’t tell me any fibs. It was indeed a ways off release, and I honestly had tossed it in the Sword of Fargoal , Princess And Knight, and Questlord bucket of games whose sequels had gone out to buy some smokes one day and never came back. So when Heat Pot Games announced a release date for the game and even went so far as to put up a preorder page on the App Store, I was pretty surprised. I’m not even going to try to speculate what took so long. Making games is a complicated business, especially for small teams. But I’m happy

Gambar
King’s Choice is celebrating its one year anniversary by rewarding players with a number of special In-game goodies. With its latest version update, King’s Choice has added a few new features, including a Pets System, which allows players to raise and rear their very own cute, cuddly companions (which will be good for extra buffs during ranking events). There is also a brand

SwitchArcade Round-Up: Reviews Featuring ‘Sonic Origins’ & ‘Wreckfest’, Plus the Latest Releases and Sales

Gambar
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for June 27th, 2022. We’re in the middle of a brutal heat wave here in Japan, and the temperature outside as I write this is 38 degrees Celsius. Wow! Let’s stay inside and play games, for our safety. I have four reviews for you today, including SEGA’s Sonic Origins , THQ Nordic’s Wreckfest , inkle’s Steve Jackson’s Sorcery! , and Spike Chunsoft’s AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative .
