Gambar
Age of Z Origins , the hugely enjoyable tower defence game from Camel Games is set to delight its fans with new content and rewards as part of its latest Halloween themed events, Road of Legends and Halloween Fright Night. With stunningly rendered visuals and ingeniously devised strategy features, Age of Z Origins is one of the top strategy games to try this Halloween season. It manages to excite and frighten in equal measure as its player is cast up against an army of undead zombies, seeking to ravage a city sanctuary that you’re charged with protecting in a post-apocalyptic world. The game provides all of the standard strategy features you’d expect of a quality SLG, including training your own troops, the manufacture of weapons, the ability to form alliances, and expansion of territory with the construction of new buildings and fortifications. As an added bonus, you’ll also be able to enter your city’s defence post to go head to head against an invading zombie horde. Thanks to

Getting an Empty Box Delivered – The TouchArcade Show #510

In this week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show, which is a podcast about mobile gaming, we talk about… mobile gaming! That’s right, we are surprisingly on-topic with this week’s discussion, diving into the new Pikmin Bloom game, the Diablo Immortal closed beta, the untimely demise of Project Cars GO , and more. But first we spend some time talking about Eli’s fancy new MacBook Pro that arrived this week, and I spend some time talking about my fancy new MacBook Air… which is literally air because all I got in the mail this week is an empty box. As always links to the stories we discuss can be found in the Show Notes below. TouchArcade Game of the Week: ‘Pikmin Bloom’

Gambar
After the wild success of Pokemon GO , it wasn’t surprising to see Nintendo ink a deal with Niantic to produce more mobile games that leverage their location-based technology and popular Nintendo characters. Well, technically Pokemon isn’t strictly a Nintendo property, but close enough. The first of these games was to be based on the Pikmin franchise, which started life on the Gamecube in the early 2000s but has seen renewed interest since the re-release of its third mainline entry on the Switch about a year ago. Then, without much warning, the first game from this partnership Pikmin Bloom released on iOS and Android devices this week. Now, I played and greatly enjoyed the original Pikmin as a young twenty-something a couple of decades ago, but haven’t paid much attention to the series sense. And despite that glorious summer of 2016 when absolutely everybody in the world was playing Pokemon GO , I haven’t been too into that game either. So my initial reaction to a Pikmin mobile

‘Project Cars GO’ Shutting Down Just 7 Months After Launch

Gambar
If there’s one thing I know for sure it’s that the mobile gaming market is BRU-TAL. Just barely 7 months after its global launch, Project Cars GO from Gamevil and Slightly Mad Studios is shutting its doors for good on November 30th. You may recall that this collaboration between the two studios to bring the popular Project Cars series to mobile was originally announced way back in May of 2018. Things were pretty quiet on its progress until about a year ago when a beta test kicked off and an official trailer was released. It was then just this past March that Project Cars GO officially launched worldwide. The game was a single-button racer that played like a quick-time-event version of a racing game, and while that sounds pretty awful as I type it out, it was actually surprisingly fun. It never ceases to amaze me how ruthlessly companies will cut the cord on a free to play mobile game if things don’t go according to plan. I mean I get it, these games are majorly expensive to r

‘Diablo Immortal’ Closed Beta Kicks Off on Android Today in Select Regions

Gambar
Diablo Immortal . Remember that? This made-for-mobile entry in the famed Diablo series was originally announced way back in November of 2018, and Blizzard has always been pretty upfront about them doing what they normally do and taking as long as it takes for them to be happy with the game before actually releasing it. Back in August they highlighted a number of areas they were looking to make improvements based on the feedback they received from previous alpha tests, and they also officially pushed the game back to 2022 in order to give themselves ample time to nail everything to their liking. Now an important next step is taking place in the development process of Diablo Immortal as the game is kicking off a closed beta test starting today. Here is a brand new trailer showing off the current state of the game as well as some of its new features, headlined by the new playable Necromancer class. If you want a much more extensive breakdown of everything you can expect in this beta

Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes constantly, so the need for everyone to release all on the same day has diminished. Still, we’ve kept our weekly Wednesday night format as for years that’s the time people knew to check TouchArcade for the list of new games. And so without further ado please check out the full list of this week’s new games below, and let us know in the comments section which games you’ll be picking up!   Bug Tilt (Free) iTunes Description Tilt your way to success, in this endless free to play snake “nature-em-u
