Going Full Benjamin Button – The TouchArcade Show #447

Gambar
If you watch the Patreon video version of this podcast you’ll see that I went from my obnoxiously long hillbilly beard to clean shaven, which seems to have reverse aged me by about 10 or more years. I’m still not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, once Jared gets over that shock we get right into it and spend a bit of time talking about off topic things like the Turbo Grafx 16 Mini, which is a really great microconsole. From there we dig into some news, some upcoming games, some games closing down, and tons more. Give it a listen! Oh, and if you want a little extra back story behind the “lost" Neo Geo game Samurai Shodown V Perfect that we discuss, Brandon Sheffield’s Twitter thread is here , and Kotaku has a nice write up on it as well. Don’t forget to shoot us emails with any questions, feedback, or anything else relevant or irrelevant to podcast@toucharcade.com . We read ’em all, and love decoding messages written entirely in emoji. As always, you can listen to us with the

TouchArcade Game of the Week: ‘ATOM RPG’

Gambar
The idea behind the TouchArcade Game of the Week is that every Friday afternoon we post the one game that came out this week that we think is worth giving a special nod to. Now, before anyone goes over-thinking this, it doesn’t necessarily mean our Game of the Week pick is the highest scoring game in a review, the game with the best graphics, or really any other quantifiable “best" thing. Instead, it’s more just us picking out the single game out of the week’s releases that we think is the most noteworthy, surprising, interesting, or really any other hard to describe quality that makes it worth having if you were just going to pick up one . These picks might be controversial, and that’s OK. If you disagree with what we’ve chosen, let’s try to use the comments of these articles to have conversations about what game is your game of the week and why . Without further ado…   ATOM RPG We’ve been saying for years that the original Fallout games would be a perfect fit on mobile d

Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes constantly, so the need for everyone to release all on the same day has diminished. Still, we’ve kept our weekly Wednesday night format as for years that’s the time people knew to check TouchArcade for the list of new games. And so without further ado please check out the full list of this week’s new games below, and let us know in the comments section which games you’ll be picking up!   Alien Shooter 2 – Reloaded ($4.99) iTunes Description Alien Shooter 2 (Alien Shooter – Vengeance) is a large

TouchArcade After Dark – The TouchArcade Show #446

Gambar
We’re posting this a bit later in the day than usual because this is an AFTER DARK episode! Jared and I both had weird things going on today which had us recording super late. We still bang out a good show though, covering all sorts of relevant things like iPhone games, and more iPhone games. Definitely no off-topic tangents at all. Don’t forget to shoot us emails with any questions, feedback, or anything else relevant or irrelevant to podcast@toucharcade.com . Puzzle Sorting Experience ‘Wilmot’s Warehouse’ Is Out Now on iOS as a Premium Release

Gambar
Wilmot’s Warehouse ($4.99) debuted on Nintendo Switch and PC platforms a little while ago. It is a puzzler about sorting inventory in a warehouse with some of the most elegant visuals. I had no idea about the game when it launched on Nintendo Switch and literally bought it after seeing how gorgeous some of the iconography was in the trailer. It was a good decision because Wilmot’s Warehouse is a super relaxing experience despite seeming like something that would stress you out. If you enjoy organising things, this is the game for you. Watch the original launch trailer below: Wilmot’s Warehouse has you arranging and organising stuff as you please before you get orders from the service hatch. The key to being able to excel here is remembering how and where you organise and put everything in the warehouse. When the service hatch opens, you get orders for various things and you need to hurry to get them for your co-workers. Wilmot’s Warehouse launched for $14.99 on Nintendo Switc
