SEGA Announces ‘Sonic At The Olympic Games’ for iOS and Android Targetting a Summer 2020 Release

Gambar
Over the weekend, SEGA had its SEGAFES event in Japan that had a slew of announcements that made many people very happy like the SEGA Genesis Mini featuring M2 doing the emulation and Yuzo Koshiro doing the menu music and also a new Sakura Wars title for PS4. SEGA also revealed the official video games for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. This included console, arcade, and mobile titles (and the mobile game is being localised as well!). Watch the announcement trailer for all the games below: Out of the games announced, the one featuring Mario will of course be Switch exclusive (and also at arcades) while the more realistic Olympic Games The Official Video Game will be on all consoles. Sonic At The Olympic Games is in development for iOS and Android right now. It is also set for a release next year in Summer. The logo and final name can change when we get closer to release. Check out the official website here. I’m pretty excited to check out the Switch and the iOS game. I prefer arcade

‘The Elder Scrolls: Blades’ Guide: What You Need to Know to Play for Free

Gambar
Despite the very real danger of having their adventuring careers cut short by taking a projectile to a leg joint, millions of fans have already made The Elder Scrolls series a true RPG phenomenon on consoles and PC. Bethesda turned some heads at E3 2018 by introducing a mobile installment called The Elder Scrolls: Blades (Free) , and after some delays, it’s finally here … sort of. At the time of this article, the game is currently in Early Access, meaning you can download the game and register with Bethesda for permission to start playing. Once you get a notification that you’re good to go, you can jump in and start exploring this particular slice of TES lore. Why would you want to? Well, for starters, The Elder Scrolls: Blades actually feels like a game that belongs to the main series, an impressive first-person RPG experience with all the flavor you’d expect. It does have some distinctly mobile touches, which we’ll get into shortly, but first you’ll need to know if you can act

An Apple Arcade Extravaganza – The TouchArcade Show #393

Gambar
This week’s episode of The TouchArcade Show is all about Apple’s recent “It’s Show Time" event and of course the announcement of Apple Arcade which seems to have set the internet on fire with hot takes. It’s not that surprising though, as Apple has revealed very little important details about how this premium mobile games subscription service will work. Eli and I run through our concerns about the service and speculate on just how some of the biggest questions we have will be answered. Namely, how exactly access and long-term support for Apple Arcade games will work and how the developers involved will get paid. Also, Eli is at PAX East in Boston and had to record this show from his hotel room, so the audio quality is a bit worse than normal and unfortunately there’s no video podcast for our Patrons this week. We should be all back to normal by next week though, so enjoy this week’s episode and let us know what your thoughts and concerns are about Apple Arcade in the comments sec

TouchArcade Game of the Week: ‘Rush Rally 3’

Gambar
The idea behind the TouchArcade Game of the Week is that every Friday afternoon we post the one game that came out this week that we think is worth giving a special nod to. Now, before anyone goes over-thinking this, it doesn’t necessarily mean our Game of the Week pick is the highest scoring game in a review, the game with the best graphics, or really any other quantifiable “best" thing. Instead, it’s more just us picking out the single game out of the week’s releases that we think is the most noteworthy, surprising, interesting, or really any other hard to describe quality that makes it worth having if you were just going to pick up one . These picks might be controversial, and that’s OK. If you disagree with what we’ve chosen, let’s try to use the comments of these articles to have conversations about what game is your game of the week and why . Without further ado…   Rush Rally 3 Nearly three years ago, developer Brownmonster released Rush Rally 2 to the App Store. Des

SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid’ and ‘She Remembered Caterpillars’ Reviews, ‘Yoshi’s Crafted World’ and Today’s Other New Releases, and More

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 29th, 2019. Along with some interesting news coming out of PAX, we’ve also got summaries of today’s new releases, reviews of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid and She Remembered Caterpillars , and a bunch of great new sales to check out. We’ll have more reviews in the days to come because the new release train never slows down on this system. Let’s see what we’ve got! News ‘Mario Tennis Aces’ Gets Magical with the Arrival of Kamek The roster for Mario Tennis Aces keeps on growing as the months go by. The new arrival in April is none other than Kamek, the tricky Magikoopa who is most famous these days for sprinkling Koopa Dust on enemies to make them into big bosses. And as you’ll see if you watch the above trailer, he puts that trick to use on himself for his special shot. Cute. Anyway, you can pick up Kamek a little early by competing in the appropriate tournament this month, or you can wait until May 1st

‘Arena of Valor’ News: March Update, Broken Maps, And Cephany Inches Closer

Gambar
With a fairly substantial patch hitting this week, this week’s Arena of Valor news roundup is going to focus mostly on what it has and will introduce in the future. Rather than dedicate an entire section of this article to discuss newly released skins, let’s just say both Omen and Cresht have new duds available right now. If you’ve been waiting for the freaky fish man to whip up some Japanese cuisine, you might want to act fast. Or wait for that incredible new Mecha Tel’Annas intro screen skin to come around. As if people need more reason to insta-lock her. March Update Release & Patch Notes By far the biggest deal of this week’s Arena of Valor roundup was the introduction of the brand-new patch. The first major update for a few months now. The main focus of the patch seems to revolve around better ranked play, with a new placement system added, and detailed statistics available to really pinpoint key moments and identify any areas you might want to work to improve. Konami’s ‘Pixel Puzzle Collection’ Has Finally Released in the UK and Europe on iOS and Android

Gambar
Today marks the culmination of one of the biggest crises in European history. That’s right – after what feels like years of debate, anticipation and protests, Konami’s Pixel Puzzle Collection (Free) has finally released on Android and iOS within Europe and the UK. As a Picross evangelist, I’ve had to watch by for months as those the US have enjoyed Konami’s nostalgia-packed take on the iconic puzzle series, and let me tell you – it’s been a struggle. I’ve been close to creating alternate accounts to download the title, as it is free without any in-app purchases required, but my lazy self normally just gets angry and reverts back to absolute mobile classic Crosslogic Unlimited (Free) (which is a fantastic and basically endless Picross game, for anyone who hasn’t heard of it). However, the wait is finally over, and anyone in Europe can now lose all productivity and dive into this surprise Konami mobile hit. I have absolutely no idea why this delay took place, as it seems like the

SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Cyber Shadow’ Coming to Switch, ‘Warparty’, ‘She Remembered Caterpillars’, ‘SEGA AGES Gain Ground’, and Today’s Other New Releases

Gambar
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 28th, 2019. An absolutely stupid amount of new games came out today, and we’ve got summaries of all of them. Because of that, I really only picked up on the most important news item of the day, but I’ve also got the usual list of sales for you as well. Let’s put on our little inflatable duck inner tubes and jump on in! News ‘Cyber Shadow’ Coming Soon to Switch from Yacht Club Games and Mechanical Head Studios To be honest, I wasn’t going to do any news stories today because of how many new releases I needed to write up, but I’ll be darned if I’m not going to mention this hot-looking new title from developer Mechanical Head Studios and publisher Yacht Club Games. According to the developer, his inspirations were the Mario games, Contra , the NES Batman , and of course, Ninja Gaiden . And you can see all of that in the trailer. This game looks absolutely incredible and I can’t wait to play it. The release dat

GameClub Reveals ‘Incoboto’, ‘Space Miner’, ‘Gasketball’ and More Are Returning to the App Store

Despite thousands of beloved and critically-acclaimed games essentially disappearing overnight as a result of what we dubbed the ’32-Bit Appocalypse’, it was a bit surprising how underwhelming the reaction was to the whole situation. Of course, the TouchArcade community fought ’til the end, but there seemed to be an atmosphere of apathy and resignation amongst many gamers and the wider industry press – it became increasingly clear that Apple weren’t going to do anything to help alleviate this issue. However, the reception to new development studio GameClub announcing their plans to resurrect a number of forgotten iOS classics has been overwhelming, and reinforces the need for preservation on a gaming platform that means a lot to so many. In the latest issue of UK-based games industry magazine Edge , GameClub provided interesting new details on the process behind their revival efforts, and revealed a number of cult favorites that are set to join the developer’s impressive library of ti
