A few weeks ago, Innersloth finally revealed details for the big upcoming Among Us (Free) Airship update that would arrive alongside a new account system and more. That update has gone live for Among Us on iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and PC as of a few hours ago. Barring the new Airship map, which is the biggest map for the game so far, the new update brings in a new account system for reporting, parental approvals, free hats, and various fixes, and more. The new Airship Cosmetic Bundle available for purchase includes new gear including new outfits with their own kill animations. The new Code of Conduct in Among Us is focussed on reporting and moderation right now but Innersloth hopes to bring a friend system to it in the future. Full details for this system are here . Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes constantly, so the need for everyone to release all on the same day has diminished. Still, we’ve kept our weekly Wednesday night format as for years that’s the time people knew to check TouchArcade for the list of new games. And so without further ado please check out the full list of this week’s new games below, and let us know in the comments section which games you’ll be picking up!   Argo’s Choice (Free) iTunes Description Argo’s Choice is one of the best visual novel games with an entertai

‘Mortal Kombat Mobile’ 6th Anniversary Celebration Brings MK11 Rain and Lots More

Gambar
I find it nearly impossible to believe that NetherRealm’s mobile iteration of Mortal Kombat (Free) has been around for six years now. In fact, the game originally launched just prior to the previous mainline entry in the seres on consoles and PC, Mortal Kombat X . That game’s sequel, Mortal Kombat 11 , has already been around for two years now. It’s just mind-boggling that the mobile Mortal Kombat has seen not just one but two mainline entries on console and PC come and go. I guess that’s just the nature of “games as a service" which are built to be these ongoing experiences with basically endless potential for new content. As such, Mortal Kombat has been a staple in our weekly update round-ups over the years as we try frivolously to stay on top of its constant beat of new content, but a new 6th anniversary update that dropped today felt worth highlighting all on its own. Its main draw is the addition of the Mortal Kombat 11 version of Rain who you can see in action in the f

SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Fortnite’ Gets Performance Improvements, Plus ‘RetroMania Wrestling’ and Today’s Other New Releases and Sales

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 31st, 2021. Here we are at the end of the month, friends. We made it through another one. April will have some interesting treats to enjoy, but let’s give March the good-bye it deserves by checking out the several new releases that hit the eShop today. We’ve got a couple of slices of news to look at on top of that, plus the usual lists of incoming and outgoing sales. Let’s have a look, shall we? News ‘Fortnite’ Gets Performance-Enhancing Update on Switch A new update has hit Fortnite for the Switch, and it’s quite a spiffy upgrade. The file size of the game has been reduced by 140 MB, which is important for those who need to make every megabyte count. The resolution in handheld mode is now 660p, and 880p in docked mode. That compares to 560p before in handheld and 780p while docked. The framerate has also seen improvements, and the game should now run more consistently with fewer hitches during gameplay. Righ

The Original ‘Samorost’ from Amanita Design Is Coming to iOS and Android Soon

In November last year, Amanita Design celebrated the 15th anniversary of Samorost 2 ($0.99) with a surprise mobile release in addition to a huge update to the PC version. Samorost 2 was never on mobile before that and it followed the 2016 released Samorost 3 ($1.99) made some including myself wonder if the original would ever be released on mobile. Jakub Dvorsky of Amanita Design today confirmed that Samorost will be coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. The point and click adventure game that originally released in 2003 has you directing a small gnome while solving puzzles and brain teasers that play out as an adventure story. Check out the official website of the game here . Amanita Design recently released a documentary looking going behind the scenes during the development of Samorost 3 . Watch it below: Samorost was created by Jakub while he was a student at the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague. I’m glad that it is finally coming to mobile s

‘PAC-MAN GEO’ 2.0 with the World Tour Mode, New Skills, and More Is Out Now on iOS and Android

PAC-MAN GEO (Free) from Bandai Namco Entertainment hit iOS and Android back in October last year . It was initially revealed as a geographical entertainment game for iOS and Android and has been built using the Google Maps platform. PAC-MAN GEO was developed to be a geographical information experience inside a game with information from Google Maps used to let players create their own stages using PAC-MAN , power pellets, and ghosts in a real world map. After launch, PAC-MAN GEO has had a few updates that improve the overall experience but it hasn’t had anything major added until today. The 2.0 update that has just gone live adds in a new mode, skills, and more in PAC-MAN GEO on iOS and Android. Watch the PAC-MAN GEO 2.0 update trailer below: The World Tour mode lets you take PAC-MAN on a journey through all 24 mazes across real-life locales. In addition to the new mode, PAC-MAN GEO 2.0 brings in new skills like Vacuum, Repel, and more. All players get five uses of Vacuum
