The Top 10 Nintendo Switch Games of 2021 – SwitchArcade Special

Gambar
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to yet another very special edition of the SwitchArcade. It’s the end of another year, and we’ve got our list of the ten best Nintendo Switch releases of 2021. While Mikhail had a little input, these are by and large my personal selections. If you have different games on your list or have them arranged in a different order, that would be a very normal thing. Ultimately, lists like these are a way to share our good experiences with others, and help each other find cool new games to play. As such, if you have some games you want to stand up for, I encourage you to drop them in the comments. I know I can always use some suggestions. With that said, let’s see how the year went! 10. No More Heroes III ($59.99) No More Heroes III is, like the previous games, not really for everyone. It’s silly. It’s meta. It’s crass. It’s clunky. It’s cool. It’s an open world game with a world that’s almost a chore. Melee combat is a huge part of the gameplay, but it’s n

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for December 31st, 2021. Well, we survived another year. It sure wasn’t an easy one, was it? Dare I hope things are better next year? Perhaps unsurprisingly, there isn’t much going on today. We have a few new releases to check out, some new sales, and a whole ton of outgoing sales. Keep your eyes open for our Top Ten Switch Games of 2021 list, which should also go up today. Let’s wrap things up! New Releases Eufloria HD ($9.99) This quirky strategy game sees you growing plants and creatures to take over asteroids and secure their resources. You’ll be playing against AI opponents who also seek to claim those resources, so you’ll need to plan accordingly. The story mode offers twenty-five levels, and there are a couple of other modes to tinker about with after you’ve finished that. Procedural generation adds a bit of variety into the mix. Not bad, and certainly different from most other games of its sort. Arcade Archives

The Best of 2021 Genre Awards – SwitchArcade Special

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to another special edition of the SwitchArcade. As part of our Best of 2021 coverage, I’ve decided to handle the Genre Awards similarly to last year. As you’ll recall, last time I simply selected an assortment of popular genres and stated my favorite games in each of them. And that’s exactly how we’re going to play things this time around, too. Let’s check out the best of each genre! Best Platformer Game Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury ($59.99) As Wii U games go, Super Mario 3D World is far from the most forgotten. Still, it’s good to see such an excellent game get a new life on another platform. It’s a great Mario game whether you’re playing solo or with friends. But the real reason it’s in this spot is because of the big new addition to the package: Bowser’s Fury . While it’s not the longest of games, it offers an exciting vision of what a true open world 3D Mario game could look like. It’s a wild ride from start to finish, with plenty of

SwitchArcade Round-Up: ‘Deathsmiles I-II’, ‘Pawn of the Dead’, Plus Today’s Other New Releases and Sales

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for December 30th, 2021. We’re just about at the end of this year, and today marks the last release of any note for 2021. There are four new releases to look at, and we’ve got summaries of all of them. We’ve also got the usual sales lists, with the incoming and expiring sales for the day. That’s about it, but what can you expect at this time of year? There will be a SwitchArcade Special with the genre awards going up today as well. Lots of good games in there if you can’t find what you’re looking for here. Let’s go! New Releases Deathsmiles I-II ($39.99) SwitchArcade Highlight! While I wouldn’t blame anyone for being wary of City Connection’s Switch releases after things like Cotton Saturn Tribute , I’m happy to say that this one turned out fine. Low input lag, runs well, and while it’s not the most gorgeous of packages, it’s hardly bare-bones. You get Deathsmiles, Deathsmiles Mega Black Label , and Deathsmiles IIX Mer
