‘Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition’ Releases This August for iOS, Android, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in Japan

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition from Square Enix was originally supposed to release on January 23rd this year for iOS, Android, PS4, and Nintendo Switch but was delayed. The upcoming remaster of the classic Final Fantasy game is set to bring full cross platform online play and progression. This includes PS4 which isn’t that common when it comes to cross progression. Today, Square Enix announced the release date for all platforms in Japan. In addition to the release date, a few more things have been revealed for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition including newly recorded theme songs, a higher difficulty dungeon and boss unlocked after finishing the game, and more. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition releases on August 27th in Japan for PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. It is likely that the Western release is around the same time if not the same day. The Western release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition still has a release window of Summer 2020 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. I will update this story if we get a release date for the West today. As of now a price point for the English version hasn’t been announced yet but expect it to be close to the Japanese price. The console price is 4,800 Yen which is roughly $45 while the iOS and Android price is 2,820 Yen which is roughly $26. A small part of the game will be playable for free on both iOS and Android. ‘Dragon Quest Champions’ Releases Tomorrow in Japan on iOS and Android, Pre-Download Now Available

Earlier this year, Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Champions for iOS and Android made in collaboration with Koei Tecmo. With service beginning for the game tomorrow in Japan, Square Enix has begun pre-downloads on the App Store and Google Play. While Koei Tecmo has worked with Square Enix on the Dragon Quest Heroes action RPGs in the past for console and PC, this is a new mobile RPG, and the first big Dragon Quest mobile release since Dragon Quest Builders . Dragon Quest Champions will feature solo and multiplayer mode. Watch the new Dragon Quest Champions mobile trailer below: As of this writing, a localization hasn’t been announced.
