'Mario Kart' is Coming to the App Store via the Just-Announced Game 'Mario Kart Tour'

I don't even. What is happening. Nintendo just announced that Mario Kart is coming to mobile via a new game titled Mario Kart Tour. Due out sometime before March 2019, we've got loads of time to wildly speculate what this game is going to be about. Judging by Nintendo's other efforts on mobile, I doubt it's going to be anything close to a "full" Mario Kart game, but, stranger things have happened.

I'm wondering if they're going to try to apply the CSR Racing formula to Mario Kart characters? Their mobile portfolio is filled with games that take the core concept of a game and distill it down to its absolute essence. What do you guys think? What's Mario Kart Tour going to be about?

That is quite a headline, but, Franz is the kind of gaming experience that can’t be easily summarized. It’s an ambitious and unique new project from developer Ice-Pick Lodge, who made their name with the open-world horror FPS Pathologic and have also dabbled in mobile with their truly weird survival horror title Knock-Knock Game , which we reviewed back in 2014 . Ice-Pick has grown to become a fan-favorite developer due to their somewhat twisted and unconventional take on developing and storytelling, and “twisted and unconventional" are two extremely apt descriptors for their upcoming title Franz . What even is Franz ? I guess if you had to summarize, Ice-Pick describes it as “a hybrid between an SMS novel and an angry version of tamagotchi" but it also seems like the type of thing that doesn’t really have anything else before it to compare to. ‘Dragon Quest Champions’ Releases Tomorrow in Japan on iOS and Android, Pre-Download Now Available

Earlier this year, Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Champions for iOS and Android made in collaboration with Koei Tecmo. With service beginning for the game tomorrow in Japan, Square Enix has begun pre-downloads on the App Store and Google Play. While Koei Tecmo has worked with Square Enix on the Dragon Quest Heroes action RPGs in the past for console and PC, this is a new mobile RPG, and the first big Dragon Quest mobile release since Dragon Quest Builders . Dragon Quest Champions will feature solo and multiplayer mode. Watch the new Dragon Quest Champions mobile trailer below: As of this writing, a localization hasn’t been announced.
