‘Reigns: The Council’ Which Is the Board Game Based On ‘Reigns’ Is Now Live On Kickstarter

A little while ago, a board game adaptation of the superb Reigns series of games was announced in the form of Reigns: The Council. Reigns: Her Majesty ($0.99) and Reigns ($0.99) are essentials on iOS on Android. Nerial even made the best game based on Game of Thrones in the form of Reigns: Game of Thrones. I’m very interested to see how this plays out because Reigns is something that could absolutely be brilliant as a board game. Check out how it will look below:

For Reigns: The Council, Nerial is working with legendary board game designers Bruno Faidutti (Citadels, Diamants, and more) and Herve Marly (The Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow) and more. Reigns: The Council is now live on Kickstarter with just over a month to go for completion. The target for the campaign is $79,139. That is quite a headline, but, Franz is the kind of gaming experience that can’t be easily summarized. It’s an ambitious and unique new project from developer Ice-Pick Lodge, who made their name with the open-world horror FPS Pathologic and have also dabbled in mobile with their truly weird survival horror title Knock-Knock Game , which we reviewed back in 2014 . Ice-Pick has grown to become a fan-favorite developer due to their somewhat twisted and unconventional take on developing and storytelling, and “twisted and unconventional" are two extremely apt descriptors for their upcoming title Franz . What even is Franz ? I guess if you had to summarize, Ice-Pick describes it as “a hybrid between an SMS novel and an angry version of tamagotchi" but it also seems like the type of thing that doesn’t really have anything else before it to compare to. ‘Dragon Quest Champions’ Releases Tomorrow in Japan on iOS and Android, Pre-Download Now Available

Earlier this year, Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Champions for iOS and Android made in collaboration with Koei Tecmo. With service beginning for the game tomorrow in Japan, Square Enix has begun pre-downloads on the App Store and Google Play. While Koei Tecmo has worked with Square Enix on the Dragon Quest Heroes action RPGs in the past for console and PC, this is a new mobile RPG, and the first big Dragon Quest mobile release since Dragon Quest Builders . Dragon Quest Champions will feature solo and multiplayer mode. Watch the new Dragon Quest Champions mobile trailer below: As of this writing, a localization hasn’t been announced.
