‘Pokemon GO’ Integration with ‘Pokemon Home’ Is Coming Later This Year with Limited-Time Events and More Planned

Back when Pokemon Home (Free) was annonced and eventually released, connectivity with Pokemon GO (Free) was not available and was going to come in the future. Today, The Pokemon Company had a broadcast giving players details on the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion pass and more. The presentation also finally had some information about the integration between Pokemon Home and Pokemon GO. This will let players bring over Pokemon GO Pokemon to the Nintendo Switch Pokemon Sword and Shield and Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion pass areas. Watch the presentation below:

When the integration goes live, there will be limited-time events that let players get a chance to encounter a Shiny Meltan if you pen the Mystery Box during the celebration event. Hopefully we get a release date soon for this integration because Pokemon Sword and Shield is getting a new physical release with DLC included on cartridge in a new bundle. Head over to our forum thread for more discussion around Pokémon GO. It is available for free on iOS and Android. Pokemon Home is available for free on the App Store for iOS, Google Play for Android, and the eShop for Nintendo Switch. Details for the paid plans are available here. Did you play and enjoy Pokemon Sword & Shield‘s first DLC expansion on Nintendo Switch?
